MESSAGE FROM THE ACADEMIC DIRECTOR
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Holborn Institute. Our International Foundation program is organized in partnership with QA Higher Education of London, which manages a consortium of UK universities (including Roehampton, Northumbria and Ulster Universities). This partnership with QA is unique in its form and content, as Holborn Institute also becomes affiliate of these universities and runs the International Foundation program, which meets the requirements of these universities. Our program is aimed at achieving the following principal objectives:
(a) to bring the International Foundation program to the door-steps of prospective students here in Abuja, (Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory) instead of our young people spending the initial year abroad, they go straight into their chosen course of study;
(b) to save parents a substantial part of one year’s tuition and maintenance costs and also the emotional burden of ‘shipping’ out their young ones abroad at such tender age, most of whom have never lived on their own before;
(c) to save parents and the country scarce foreign exchange and resources, thereby contributing to the Nigerian economy rather than the economies of foreign countries; and
(d) to provide our students with the highest standards of education comparable to any in the United Kingdom (or any other developed country), at an affordable price and guarantee successful students progression to a degree program at a reputable University of their choice.
The advantage of registering at Holborn is that you would not only have the opportunity of studying for the Foundation program here in Nigeria, but also the prospects of advancement to first year degree program in Nigeria or in the home country of your preferred University (once arrangement for this program is finalized).
